«It’s not about what life puts in our way, but how we choose to face it. That changes everything.»

Meli and Facu are a wonderful example of moving forward with joy, overcoming challenges and making the most of every moment. Anyone who knows them knows the kind of energy they bring with them — and you could feel it throughout their entire wedding.

Despite having to change the date and having very little time to bring all their ideas to life (and honestly, I don’t think I’ve ever met a couple with so many ideas!), they managed to create an unforgettable celebration. Nothing was missing, especially their incredible energy and positive attitude.

We started that afternoon at Puerto Norte Hotel, where Meli was getting ready with her family, alongside Robert Guida, Analía Gauto and Tina Cabal. Makeup, hair, the dress, a toast, getting the rice ready for the ceremony… there was a little bit of everything happening in that room, along with plenty of fun moments — exactly what I expected from Meli.

Meanwhile, Facu was getting ready and raising a glass with his family and friends, photographed by my friend and colleague Matías González, one of Chile’s leading wedding photographers, whom I had the pleasure of working alongside that day.

At Lourdes, their grandmothers were eagerly waiting with bouquets in hand, ready to be part of the wedding procession — one of those ideas I absolutely loved. The ceremony was filled with emotion, meaningful glances between Meli and Facu and their parents, but above all, an incredible sense of joy. I hope it is a moment they never forget.

Punta Barranca was the setting for the celebration, starting with a reception full of details inspired by the idea of travelling together on this new journey: guest check-in, boarding-pass invitations, tables named after different cities, a suitcase filled with gifts for the guests, and so much more. From the very beginning, everything reflected their personality.

I knew the party was going to be fun, but it turned out to be even better than I expected. Nobody wanted to leave — and if it had gone on for another couple of hours, I’m pretty sure the dance floor would still have been full.

The best moments in life are meant to be enjoyed and shared. Meli and Facu certainly know how to do both.

Congratulations, Meli and Facu, and thank you so much for everything!
